Action Menu
Go backWhen you tap on any contact from the list, a new window – the so-called Action Menu – will pop up. It contains the following features:
“Call” – Tap to make a call to a selected contact. (This option is not available on iPod/iPad.) If a contact has several phone numbers saved, a new menu will pop up asking you which number you want to dial.
If you have enabled Skype calls in Settings, ContactsTap will ask you whether you want to make a regular phone call or a Skype call.
“Tex” – Tap to send a text message to the contact.
If a contact has several phone numbers saved, a new menu will pop up asking you which number you want to send the message to.
If you have no phone numbers saved for this contact, then this option will not be available until you add a phone number.
“E-Mail” – Tap to send an e-mail to the contact. This feature is enabled if you have entered and saved the e-mail address for the selected contact.
In order to enable this feature, you will have to set-up your e-mail address that you want to send the messages from. You can do this in Settings (the procedure is explained below).
“Favorites” – This option will add / remove selected contacts to or from the favorites list.
“Details” – Displays all saved information for the selected contact. This is where you can add, change or delete saved information for this contact (e.g. phone numbers, e-mail addresses, websites, birthday, etc.)
“Groups” – Displays all Groups that the selected contact has been added to. Use the buttons at the bottom of the page to add this contact to more groups, or to remove it from selected groups.
Tap “Add to Groups” – a new window will appear with the list of all available groups. Tap on the group that you wish to add the contact to, then tap “Done”. If you wish to deselect a selected group, just tap on it again.
Tap “Remove from Groups” – a new window will appear with a list of all groups that the contact currently belongs to. Tap on a group that you wish to remove the contact from, then tap “Done”. If you wish to deselect the selected group, just tap on it again.
Tap “Done” again to return to the list of contacts.
“Print” – This option will print contacts data to nearby available printer which supports AirPrint protocol.
“Delete Contact” – Tap to delete the selected contact. A new menu will pop up, asking you to either confirm your request to delete the contact, or to cancel it.
“Share Contact” – Use this option to share the chosen contact with someone; it will be sent as a vCard 3.0 attachment. Tap “Share Contact” and a new menu will appear, asking you to chose the person that you want to share the contact with. You can either select the recipient from the contacts list, or type their e-mail addresses manually.
If the recipient that you have selected from the list does not have an e-mail address saved, the app will return you to the contact list.
vCard 3.0 can only be sent to one contact at a time.
“Close” – This option closes the Action Menu without making any changes, and brings you back to the contacts list.
